In your garden scatter seeds of loving thoughts and kindly deeds.

I have planted my first flower garden ever.
I wish I had taken a before shot so you could see how hard I worked.

Brent made this rock garden a few years ago and planted some tulips and daffodils for me.
I did think it was mine to mess with.
But he said why not. And I went to work.

My friend next door gave me forget-me-knots and violets and a bleeding heart.
I bought some geraniums.

You will open wide the magic gate; happiness will not be late
If you walk the sunlit way, joy will come as bright as day.

Hummingbirds all over the place!

This spring we discovered these great posts for our hummingbird feeders.
They just clamp on to the railing so they will be easy to take off for winter.
The birds LOVE them.
We have so many more of them flying around now.

Brent has been in battle with the ants though, this has been quite a problem.
When you mix sugar and water and spread it around the deck, the first people there are the ants!
And they come in great force!  Just like in the movie ANTS.
So Brent went to work trying to win the war.
Notice the little red ring around the bottom of the pole.
All you need is an instant coffee lid and some caulking!

As you can see, the ants are now taking swimming lessons to get the the pole!
Two have made it so far.
Lets just see if the third one can swim as well.
